Hint Number Ten
The hints in this report are designed to help you take advantage of
opportunities and to be successful. And it is perfectly possible to be
successful in the cleaning field. There are real advantages to starting a cleaning
business as opposed to something else. Startup costs are low, there are
opportunities for you anywhere in the country, and you can finance much
of your growth directly from sales - not by taking on long-term debt.
But these same advantages mean that you will always have plenty of competition.
Success is not guaranteed and certainly not rapid success. Here is a quote I
always keep handy to remind me of the surest route to success in this or any other
business.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is
more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is
almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and
always will solve the problems of the human race.
