Hint Number Fifteen

Successful people in this business are grateful. They are grateful to their customers because there is an unlimited amount of competition out there and the minute they start taking business for granted they will start losing it.

They are grateful to their employees for two reasons: First, because the work is hard and doesn't pay the best. And second, they are grateful because cleaning can be a thankless task.

A cleaner who does a job that's 99 per cent error free will hear only about the other 1 percent from the customer. Be grateful for the 99 per cent he did perfectly and praise him publicly for it. Then, if necessary, talk to him privately about the other 1 per cent.
