 Insurance for cleaning businesses

Moody Insurance - Recommended by the BSCAI*

* BSCAI stands for: the Building Service Contractors Association International. I created this link because they spell out in detail the insurance coverage they provide for cleaning businesses; and I wanted you to see what a company that insures Building Service Contractors considers full-service.

Moody covers all fifty states so you can get coverage from them wherever you are in the U.S. but whether you do business with them or not is strictly up to you, I don't get anything out of the deal. I did grab some remarks from their site so you could decide if you wanted to visit them.

  • a broad array of industry-specific coverages....
  • insurance coverage tailored to your professional cleaning service needs....
  • protection against damages caused by the work you perform for your customers ....
  • Loss Key Coverage....
  • Employee Theft....

Know any Insurance Companies that cover Cleaning Businesses?

If anyone wants to recommend another insurance company that specializes in cleaning businesses - feel free. I'd like another example or two in my article, I prefer nation-wide insurance companies but mainly, I'm looking for ones with informative webpages or articles for my readers and, of course, that specialize in covering cleaning businesses.

 A Neat Little Gadget

I found this neat little piece of software that translates insurance terms into easily understood language without distorting the meaning. For instance, people looking to insure their cleaning businesses often get employee dishonesty coverage. Think you know exactly what this means? Here's the type of language you will find in your insurance contract to define this term:

Employee Dishonesty Coverage

Legal Definition:
This commercial crime insurance covers the loss of money, securities, and other covered property because of any dishonest act of a covered employee or employees. This a broad term for insurance that protects an employer from an employee who takes money, securities or other property. Included are employee dishonesty, forgery, theft, robbery, burglary and fraud coverages.

That's what it's likely to say in your insurance contract but are you absolutely sure you understand what this means for you?

Here's the Translation:
This type of coverage protects you if your employees steal from your business or from your customers.

With the legal definition you aren't quite sure what you're getting, with the translation you know exactly what kind of coverage you get with this type of insurance.
